Biggest road transport conference in Europe motors into Coventry next week

The biggest road transport conference in Europe is gearing up to return to Coventry Building Society Arena.

Microlise, a leading global provider of innovative technology solutions, is announcing further additions to the annual Microlise Transport Conference agenda, which takes place this year on Tuesday 18 March at Coventry Building Society Arena.

Among the industry experts and thought leaders taking to the stage will be Richard Leonard, the Director of Network Planning – Customer, Strategy and Communications at National Highways, who will be examining the role of the strategic road network in connecting UK industry.

Iain Forbes, Director of Logistics and Borders from the Department for Transport will also be headlining the main stage, delivering his insight into the Future of Freight.

With Chris Welch, Managing Director of Welch Group, looking into the future beyond electric fleets and how companies can build sustainable transport ecosystems through energy innovation.

A highly anticipated cyber security panel will also take place, hosted by Microlise CEO Nadeem Raza, Joining the panel will be industry experts Johnty Mongan, Global Head of Cyber Risk Management at Gallagher, David Brown, Principal Security Consultant at the NCC Group and Paul Crichard, Chief Information Security Office from Serco UK & Europe.

In an interactive session, Charlotte Le Maire, Founder and Partner at LMP Legal, will lead a mock trial exploring the legal consequences of ignoring technology, where attendees are invited to judge and offer their verdict.

There will also be a number of workshops at the conference under the umbrella themes: compliance, skills, innovation and technology.

The compliance workshops will be delivered by representatives from transport solicitor Blackhouse Jones, the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service, the Traffic Commissioners for Great Britain and the DVSA. Meanwhile, skills workshops will be delivered by subject matter experts from the Society of Operations Engineers, the Institute of Road Transport Engineers and the RHA.

The conference is set to attract 1,200 delegates from the road transport industry and will be hosted by renowned BBC technology reporter Kate Russell. To register for the Microlise Transport Conference 2025, please visit the event website here.
