CW Peer to Peer Network, which launched in early 2025, brings together scale-up business leaders in Coventry and Warwickshire, to connect with dedicated business support, work through common challenges, and contribute to wider discussion around economic policy and barriers to SME growth.
Aimed at supporting established businesses, from across industry in the process of, or with the potential to, scale-up their operations, the network meets quarterly to dissect and understand critical business challenges, discuss existing and upcoming policy changes affecting SMEs, and take part in round-table discussions which help to inform and shape business support.
The Importance of Scale-up Support
There were over 34K scale-ups in the UK as of 2024, which contribute £1.4 Trillion to the UK economy - 55% of the total output from SME’s overall. Furthermore, scale-ups employ 3.2 million people and 9 out of 10 scale-ups predict further growth, (ScaleUp Institute Annual Review, 2024). The provision of tailored support for scale-up SMEs, therefore, is a critical component of the business support ecosystem, and the CW Peer to Peer Network plays an important role in helping to identify the needs and requirements of these high growth businesses, in turn helping to shape business support and continue to foster growth and innovation across Coventry and Warwickshire.
